As of March 2020 over 1300 local governments in 25 countries have declared a climate emergency and committed to action to drive down emissions at emergency speed. A few of the large cities that have passed one are New York, Los Angeles, and Berkeley. In Marin both Fairfax and San Anselmo have passed a Climate Emergency Resolution. By passing Climate Emergency Resolutions our cities are declaring this is an emergency situation and with good publicity our Marin residents will hear the news. A Climate Emergency Resolution committee composed of about 25 people representing a dozen local environmental groups. The goal of the Committee is to get a Climate Emergency Resolutions passed in every Marin City.
